Annual exams for women, also commonly known as well-woman exams, include a comprehensive medical history review, a pelvic examination to assess sexual and reproductive health, and a clinical breast exam to detect any changes in breast tissue, such as hardening, thickening, lumps, or other abnormalities. Your doctor or clinician might also order additional procedures as needed, including ultrasounds, urinalysis, or pap smears to screen for cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV).
We proudly offer state-of-the-art 3D mammography, which provides more detailed imagery than traditional mammograms and enhances cancer detection, particularly in dense breast tissue. Women aged 35 and up should begin including mammograms with their annual exams, or earlier if they have a family history of cancer or present with other risk factors.
Our skilled staff also offers Family planning Services, and we can provide advice and counseling on choosing the best form of birth control. Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are a popular form of contraception that obviates the need to take daily pills, and we offer devices from leading pharmaceutical companies, including Nexplanon, Paragard, Mirena, and Skyla. And if you’re struggling to conceive, our services also include fertility treatments.
