Our all-woman team at Central Clinic for Women offers dedicated and compassionate care to women of all ages, enabling them to live their best and healthiest lives! It’s never too early to start scheduling annual exams, and we offer safe and confidential care for women seeking an experienced gynecologist, obstetrician, or specialist for pregnancy care. We’re conveniently located on the Baptist Health campus, and we’re just a phone call away if you have any questions or when you’re ready to schedule an appointment.

We aim to set the standard for quality women’s healthcare in Arkansas and provide a comprehensive range of medical services throughout each phase of our patients’ lives. We take a holistic approach to medicine, and we strive to support each patient’s wellness journey, regardless of their age or stage of life. Here’s a quick look at just a few of the services we offer at our Little Rock women’s clinic:

Annual exams for women, also commonly known as well-woman exams, include a comprehensive medical history review, a pelvic examination to assess sexual and reproductive health, and a clinical breast exam to detect any changes in breast tissue, such as hardening, thickening, lumps, or other abnormalities. Your doctor or clinician might also order additional procedures as needed, including ultrasounds, urinalysis, or pap smears to screen for cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV).

We proudly offer state-of-the-art 3D mammography, which provides more detailed imagery than traditional mammograms and enhances cancer detection, particularly in dense breast tissue. Women aged 35 and up should begin including mammograms with their annual exams, or earlier if they have a family history of cancer or present with other risk factors.

Our skilled staff also offers Family planning Services, and we can provide advice and counseling on choosing the best form of birth control. Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are a popular form of contraception that obviates the need to take daily pills, and we offer devices from leading pharmaceutical companies, including Nexplanon, Paragard, Mirena, and Skyla. And if you’re struggling to conceive, our services also include fertility treatments.

Contact us online or at (501) 227-5885 today to schedule your annual exam or to find a trusted gynecologist Little Rock.

Here are a few frequently asked questions about menopause, and we’re a phone call away if you’d like to learn more or schedule your annual well-woman exam. When does menopause begin? Menopause begins for most women when they reach their early 50s, but some women might start experiencing symptoms as early as their mid-to-late 40s. What are the most common symptoms of menopause? Many women start experiencing a host of unpleasant symptoms once they reach middle age, including hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and irregular periods; You might also experience mood swings or struggle to maintain a healthy weight. Menopause affects all women differently, and it’s important to discuss any new symptoms or changes to existing symptoms with your doctor right away. What can I do on my own to manage my symptoms? One of the most important things you can do to manage menopause symptoms is to eat right and get 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise at least three times a week. And if you smoke, quit now! It should also come as no surprise that stress can adversely affect your health, so do your best to identify the natural stressors in your life and plan accordingly. There’s also no shame in talking to a behavioral therapist or other mental health professional if you need further assistance to cope with extreme stress, anxiety, or depression!
